Upon starting the game you will notice that you have four different vehicle choices. Among them are the 1995 Mitsubishi Eclipse, 1969 Dodge Charger, 1995 Toyota Super Turbo, and the Honda S2000. With each vehicle you will see how they are in terms of acceleration, top speed, and handling. When choosing the Dodge Charger for example, you will need to keep shifting gears, or else your car will stall out.
This is a unique twist on most current online racing games, because it adds a slightly realistic twist to the game. Although you are going slowly in this game and you need only accelerate by pressing the up arrow and avoid cars by pressing the left/right arrows, you will need to shift correctly.
Those who are not used to a manual car might have trouble with this game, which is why practice makes perfect. On the bottom of the screen you will see your shifter, the time, speed, and RPMs as you drive. You have to make sure that when you are shifting gears with your spacebar, you are not pressing the up arrow at the same time. This simulates driving a real stick shift car in the sense that you will need to consider all of the workings of the vehicle to be successful in the game. The levels are fairly short, so you wont have to keep shifting for long, however it is crucial that you keep doing so throughout the game. The objective is fairly simple; however some might find it difficult because of the constant shifting required.
